Time Warner Cable Franchise Agreement Public Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

 

For the approval of a Cable Television Agreement between Time Warner Cable and the Town of Danube

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Danube will hold a Public Hearing on October 8, 2014 at 6:45 p.m. at the Town Hall, 438 Creek Road, Little Falls, New York regarding granting a cable television franchise agreement by and between the Town of Danube and Time Warner Cable.

 

A copy of the agreement is available for public inspection by appointment (please call 315-868-6368) at the Town Clerk’s office, 438 Creek Road, Little Falls, New York.  At such public

hearing, all persons will be given an opportunity to be heard.  Written and oral statements will be

taken at that time.  Time limitations may be imposed for each oral statement, if necessary.

Fall Town Trash Days Oct. 3 & 4, 2014

ATTENTION TOWN OF DANUBE RESIDENTS

 

The Town of Danube will be holding a Trash Clean Up for the residents of the Town.  The dates are Friday, October 3rd from 8 AM to 3:30 PM and Saturday, October 4th from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Town Garage, 438 Creek Road.

 

The following items WILL NOT be allowed:  Household Garbage, Liquids (gasoline, oil, antifreeze), empty or full Paint Cans, Pesticides, Chemicals and any Hazardous Materials, Batteries, and Propane or other Gas Tanks.  Also NO RECYCLABLES.

 

Tires not on rims will be accepted at the following rates:  up to 17” @ $2 per tire, 17.5” to 22.5” @ $10.00, rear tractor tire @ $50.  Please try to have the correct change for the tires.  A personal check made out to “The Town of Danube” for the amount is also acceptable.

 

Bags of clean, usable clothing will be accepted, set aside, and given to a clothing charity.

 

This is open to any and all residents of the Town of Danube.  You will be asked to sign a registration book each time you deliver something verifying that you are a Town of Danube resident and that the trash you leave is from the Town of Danube.

 

Residents will be expected to remove the articles they wish to dispose of from their vehicle to prevent damage to the vehicle. 

 

Please, no trash is to be left after the designated hours as this could result in canceling any future clean-up dates for the Town.

Special Town Board Meeting on April 9th
April 04, 2012
There will be a Special Danube Town Board Meeting, Monday, April 9th at 7 PM at the town building, 438 Creek Road.  The main topic for discussion will be 1. the status of the fire protection contract talks and 2. the status of negotiations with the highway employees' union.  The public meeting may end with an executive session so that the board can have an in-depth discussion with their negotiating team.
Highway Superintendent Salary Hearing on April 11th at 6:30 PM

Hearing on Highway Superintendent Salary Change -  The hearing on the law to change the salary of the Superintendent of Highways will begin at 6:30 PM. 

 

 Proposed Local Law Number One of 2012

 I. FINDING
The budgeted annual salary for the Town of Danube elected office of
Superintendent of Highways has been previously approved in the amount of
$20,000.00 for the calendar year 2012. Local inquiry has been made about
the increase of this salary to $28,880.00 with such increase, if any, to
be hereafter determined upon a referendum held pursuant to Section 24 of
the Municipal Home Rule Law .

II. SALARY INCREASE
The 2012 calendar year salary for the Town of Danube Superintendent of
Highways shall be increased from $20,000.00 to $28,800.00 effective, and
payable, from January 1.

III. EFFECTIVE DATE
This local law shall take effect upon its approval by referendum and its
subsequent filing thereof with the Secretary of State.
